12. Eternity

Spooked by health issues in France, I returned from fine productive trip off schedule.
On the last day in Paris I walked an extra mile, after looking for Laurel at the St. Micheal Fountain, and got a summer white shirt at H & M.

Next morning on Air France, flight 084 May 8, 2012, I got a good 3rd seat behind 2 seat row, and had to store all gear above.  A lovely flight attendant assisted.  Enjoyed a fine French chicken and noodle dinner.
Before landing I put on the white shirt and blue tie.  Fancy.
The flight attendant looked, I said I had been on the road for a year.
I could see affection in her eyes for my romance as she wished me “bon chance”.

Laurel was surprised to see me at the pickup area, in a white shirt, tie, and no mustache.
We went to Chef Chu’s and then got a room in Half Moon Bay.
On a bench above a new beach, the fog rolling in, we shared stories.
We spent a day together.  I gave her Channel Coco.  For a bit I was next to her lying on the bed and could see her wondrous eyes looking up at me, with a bit of puzzlement.

What will we do?

Eternity

He who bends to himself a joy
Does the winged life destroy;
But he who kisses the joy as it flies
Lives in eternity's sunrise.

William Blake

"Then I asked: 'does a firm perswasion that a thing is so, make it so?'
He replied: 'All Poets believe that ia does, & in ages of imagination this
firm perswasion removed mountains; but many are not capable of a firm perswasion of any thing."

William Blake
The Marriage of Heaven and Hell (c. 1790-3)

Sky Journal

I brought a topaz,
symbol of a blue sky journal or vision,
wherein the blue of the sky,
the deep blue of her eyes,
and the blue of the topaz,
anchor a series of images of our love,
through a long time,
each unique and keyed to an individual passing cloud in the wind,
observed while leaning on a rock at the seas edge,
and extending to infinity.

Conclusion

I would move in time, collect the dreams,
and find the future.
This is what I set out for on a road trip last year.
I dream of bringing all time together,
still the farther into the future the more fascinating,
as more possibilities of hope and love are inherent.

With love,

Robert
